Musical Background

Camilo began studying piano at age five and started cello in elementary school, growing up in a musical family that helped shape his love for both performance and teaching. His musical development has included classical cello, orchestral and chamber music, jazz, improvisation, piano, and contemporary performance.

At the University of North Texas, Camilo earned his Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance while continuing to explore jazz and collaborative styles alongside his classical training. This broad background allows him to move comfortably between concert repertoire, wedding and event music, jazz-influenced playing, contemporary arrangements, studio work, and other professional performance settings.
