Lesson Options
Camilo teaches cello students from complete beginner through advanced levels. As a professionally trained cellist with a degree in Cello Performance, he works with students on the technical and musical skills needed to play with greater freedom, confidence, and expression.
Lessons can support students participating in school orchestra, preparing for region or all-state auditions, working on solo repertoire, building stronger fundamentals, or pursuing more advanced musical goals.

Camilo teaches beginner through intermediate piano students, drawing on his background studying piano from an early age as well as his experience as a performer and teacher. Lessons focus on developing a strong musical foundation while helping students become comfortable, independent musicians.
Instruction is adapted to each student’s age, experience, and interests, whether they are learning piano for the first time, developing reading and coordination skills, or continuing to build technique and musicianship.

Teaching Approach:

Camilo’s teaching is supportive, patient, and detail-oriented. A major focus is helping students develop efficient, healthy playing habits so they can improve without unnecessary tension and build confidence in their sound.
Technique is taught as a tool for making music—not as an end in itself. Students work toward strong fundamentals while also developing musical expression, independence, and effective practice habits.
Camilo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from the University of North Texas and brings experience as both a professional performer and teacher to each lesson.
Who I Teach?
Lessons for Children, Teens & Adults
Students of all ages are welcome. Camilo works with young beginners, middle and high school orchestra students, adults starting an instrument for the first time, returning musicians, and more advanced cello students looking to continue developing their technique and musicianship.
No previous musical experience is required for beginners.
Where do I Teach?
In-Home Music Lessons in McKinney & North DFW
Private lessons are primarily offered in students’ homes, making weekly music lessons more convenient for families without requiring an additional trip to a music school or studio.
Camilo teaches in McKinney and surrounding Dallas-Fort Worth communities, including areas such as Frisco, Allen, Plano, and nearby cities depending on schedule and availability. Travel fees may apply based on distance from McKinney.
A limited number of lessons may also be available at Camilo’s home studio in McKinney.
Private Lesson Rates
60-Minute Lesson - $65
Ideal for most students and strongly recommended to assure sufficient time to cover all lesson material
45-Minute Lesson - $55
Available for younger children and students who may struggle to maintain focus in a 60 minute lesson.
Interested in Lessons?
Lessons are offered in person in the DFW area, including in-home or travel-based lessons depending on location and availability. Lessons are typically 1 hour long with some flexibility of shorter lessons for younger children. Reach out with the student’s age, instrument, experience level, location, and musical goals.
